I am going through an awesome devotional by Joseph Iregbu.
It’s called SELAH: a 90 Journey of Grace and Hope.
As the title suggests, it’s a call to pause, reflect and ponder on the promises and grace of God.
I’d like to share some of my favorite quotes so far (am still reading).
“God is neither a clown, nor a comedian. He is not in the business of teasing His children to make mockery of them – no true father does that. He does what He says and says what He will surely do. Hold on to that truth and believe God for your miracle today” Isaiah 43;19, day 8
“….There is a depth of God that is only known through the testing of faith. Those willing to be refined as gold are called to embrace pain with joy. Pain will come to pass, but we must press in to discover more of God at such times.
Like a friend of mine says, “As you face new challenges and new ‘devils,’ do not forget the bears and the lions God helped you conquer before.” James 1:2, day 11
”….Our faith cannot be strengthened until we are stretched. Our hope cannot be proven until we have been through fire…..” Day 25 James 1:2-4
”Your life is a loan…someday the Lender will request that you pay back everything, with interest. I mean every, single penny! Ask yourself:
“Have I done enough with my life to acknowledge the ‘capital investment’ spent and some ‘profit’ when God comes calling?” Indeed, your life is a loan. Do not waste it. Do not ‘spend’ it…invest it.“ James 4:14, day 27
“When the Electrician (GOD) flips the switch on, the Current (Holy Spirit) flows through the Socket (Jesus Christ) into the Plug (You) and there is light (Divine Power).
You must remain connected to God, so plug your faith into His Socket so that His Current can continuously flow into you. Otherwise, you will remain nothing but a mere plug. Plug into God today.” John15:4-7, day 31
“Some people do not win in life because they do not know of what they are afraid. You cannot fight what you do not know and you cannot conquer what you do not fight against.
To be victorious in life, you must master and conquer your fears, abandon your doubts and step out of your shell..” 2 Timothy 1:7, day 48
Question: Do you have a favorite quote/lesson from a book (or something else) that you can share?
