It’s Wednesday evening, time to have a personal growth post scheduled for 11 pm and ready to be delivered to your inbox early Thursday morning.
But I don’t have anything to share.
I have been working on my book, two guest posts and pouring into our dream .
I have vacation bible school at church and need to prepare dinner before I leave the house.
I want to put in a few minutes exercise before then. And when I come back home from church, I want to give my whole to my husband, not final edits of a blog post.
So I wasn’t going to post anything at all, but I thought I could encourage someone else that’s working hard to keep all the balls in the air.
Life has imperfect moments.
In fact if we are keen enough, we realize that real life is made up of many imperfects moments which we make count.
You can’t have too many balls in the air and if you do, you need to let some fall wherever they may.
Take a step back and just be.
Life is not a competition.
You are called to run your own race.
You can’t do everything but you can do one thing.
And sometimes that one thing is not doing anything at all.
I hope you get to take a step back today, to take a deep breath and and to pace yourself.
As for me, am shutting down this laptop of mine and living the rest of my life. I hope you make a choice to do the same thing; keep the main thing the main thing.
Blessings to you.
Life may have a lot of imperfect moments, but even those imperfect moments have value. We don’t want to waste even those!
Your in the same vote as me last week. I’ve been so busy working on my next book (The goal is to have it release next month) that I’ve not been able to write as many newer blog posts or read/comment on as many blogs. I think the important thing is to stay focused on top priorities. For me this includes God, family, work, and getting my books done.
Your post coincides with something I posted the day before. Since my sister in law died I have been studying a few things about the time I have left on this earth. I so want it to count for His glory, don’t want to waste it. The taking one step at a time is exactly how God wants us to live and with a pause sometimes in between steps to rest. At 66 I need a longer pause and fewer steps and God is gracious to give what my soul needs. Good post my sister.
That’s how I feel lately. My perfectionist temperament is forcing me to do well in all areas of my life. Yet, I must face reality. I ain’t no superman. I’m merely a human being, vulnerable and weak in desperate need of God’s sun light in my life. Take one step at a time…that’s what I need. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me today Ngina. ๐
Glad the thoughts found a place in your life at this moment Paul..we are in desperate need of these reminders. Am such a work in progress, I find that I “get it” today, then find myself running the treadmill next week. But His grace…glad he doesn’t back off ๐
Hmmm…I hear you and I feel you. The collection of all the imperfect moments is what life is composed of. I have ‘graphs’ every single month in my intentional living. Thanks for sharing. Cant wait for the guest posts…..
I have read of your graphs in some of your posts. Very interesting and sounds like a sure-way to help and prod on the intentional growth path
I had to drop some balls that were slowing my progress. I am focused on one main thing and things are fallen into place. Thanks for the reminder.
Glad to see it’s working in yoru life Bernard. Am learning too but i tend to forget. I need the reminders all the time. Thanks for sharing that.
Well said….you summed up my own feelings very aptly. Lately I’ve had too many balls in the air and am now letting some of them fall.
God bless your busy season.
Thanks TC…am still learning. sometimes i try to catch them again ๐ Amen to letting go ๐
God bless you too in this season.
This is encouraging, Ngina. Glad to hear that I’m not the only one who doesn’t have their blog posts scheduled weeks in advance. I usually get mine done the night before. Love that you’re establishing your priorities!
Same here Barb! Would love to have it done much earlier..but other responsibilities call ๐ Amen to establishing priorities ๐
Thanks for the reminder…
I need them all the time ๐ Amen
I’m glad I gave up juggling – I’m a far better clown ๐
Do the main thing and the rest will sort itself out. Yep – simple. Not always easy ๐
That’s funny Rick and good for you!
Agreed, simple but not always easy to do. ๐
