Lately my faith has been yo-yo-ing – going up and down concerning some dreams of mine.
I shared with our Facebook Community about it this week. I’d like to share it with you today, for someone who needs a word of encouragement.

The last few days I’ve been wondering (okay stressing out) about my seeming “inability” to stand firm in faith over some things we are believing God for.
I have felt overcome, fearful, discouraged, hurt, terrified and loosing hope that I don’t have what it takes to be used of God..cos I am so weak in faith, so distrustful, fiery-hearted.
I’ve battled feeling like a lost cause, feeling like I will never “get there”.
But God shared these words with me
“I can hold your hand, help you day by day. There’s no permanent cure for being human..but I make the difference”
Sweet wife struggling in your marriage and life, feeling like you will never measure up, like when you get one chaos under control another one flares up, feeling like God can never use you, bless you, love you, give you those dreams cos you are so weak, so human, so messy;
Stop trying to be perfect in order to be loved and used of God.
His love is not work-based, its based on grace. His blessing is not based on your abilities, but on your desire, your faith.
Lean hard into His grace.
Keep your hand in His and He will lead you into mind blowing moments and breakthroughs. He is with you through the valleys, the mountains, the hills, the deserts.
You might not feel Him but He’s there. But when you look back you’ll know He was. You might be weeping now but don’t mourn as one without hope; walk thru it, like the daughter of the King you are.
There’s no permanent cure for your humanity (not this side of the eternity anyway) but He makes the difference.
He enables you to keep walking, praising, believing through the storms and chaos of life. He’s all you need. Quit trying to be Him, find and rest in His strength instead.
Philippians 1:6 “.. being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
I hope you are encouraged. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, He who began a good work in you will complete it!

Loved this post. It’s so important to be able to let go of that feeling of not being able to live up to our ideals and being able to just rest in Him. And trust the journey. Thanks for this Ngina.
Those are beautiful! Sometimes it can be so hard to keep up faith while we wait, but God is faithful! I found your post @ Works for me Wednesday. I would love it if you shared a post at my new link up: http://www.joyfocusedlearning.com/2013/11/anything-goes-link-up-1.html
Thank you for stopping by Angela, i will check it out!
Ngina,
First, I’m a longtime lurker, first-time commenter on here.
Second, let me say that this post is so what I needed to read! Your posts are always so helpful. As a newly wed (One year and 4 months), I’m still trying to get this marriage thing figured out. Thank you for your wonderful work!
So glad the post encouraged you Alexandra, and thanks so much for dropping in to say hi 🙂
My husband has been ill for months with Rocky Mountain Spotted fever and my 91 year old mom who has dementia and lives with us have been a handful. We had to cancel doing some special cooking and I was up tight. I read a Psalm a day (my own schedule) and Psalm 37 was the one to read. Look at the order…..
Fret Not….
Trust in the Lord
Delight in the Lord.
Commit to the Lord
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently….
I wrote in my journal That this quieted my troubled mind and really spoke to me of how many times I have not followed the sequence in these verses….When you stop fretting and really trust Him than you can praise him and that makes it easy to commit the burden to the Lord and than you can rest.
Amen and amen, thanks so much for sharing this Donna. Such sweet encouragement. God bless you
Ngina, I have battled the same things – still battle them. I’m praying God will use the struggle to mature me and draw me closer to Him. 🙂
Your words make me feel better 🙂 Amen to growth growing closer to Him
Ngina, this has been one of those weeks where I’ve been so encouraged that I don’t know where to start. I guess the biggest encouragement was the being at our home church in for the first time in a few years and feeling the love and encouragement of many dear saints who have known me since I was a little boy!
I feel your joy! 🙂 I am trying to imagine being at my home church in Nairobi..i am not a missionary..but the joy of being home with friends and church family is an amazing thing. Bless God for the church family. Wishing you even more wonderful times of refreshing with your family in this season.
Thanks for sharing your heart! Love Phil. 1:6:)
Thanks Dave 🙂
Great post Ngina 🙂
Thanks Kimanzi 🙂
I so needed this today, Ngina! Great post.
Amen Kimberly.
“Quit trying to be Him.” Good call! We all have been given intelligence and the gifts of our senses that tend to make us less than honorable when we try to be God… We act as if we can grant life and have authority over how long we live… The mirage of the flesh is ugly. The grace of our Creator is beautiful. “I will fear no evil for YOU are with me…”
Amen Floyd, I love Psalm 23, thanks for sharing that verse. It makes all the difference to understand Whose we are, how He will never leave us or forsakes us no matter what we go through. Thanks for that encouragement
