I also relate to growing; specifically, some of my past messages could have included more nuance or caveats for those in destructive marriages.

And as much as I was hurt by some of the messages I heard growing up, I have become far more forgiving of those who taught me imperfect messages because they were doing the best they can with what they knew. I love that 1 Corinthians 3:18 says: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” We’re not done, but BEING TRANSFORMED—an ongoing process.
